Uchiha Itachi • 2 years ago

villains also have a heart 🤞

only villainesses have hearts... part of being a woman. some things one cannot change no matter what they do, no matter how hard one tries to suppress their inherent nature, things always slip through the cracks, like it did with Lady Chiyo.

Wha

Unknown4Now • 1 year ago

When someone gets a fever aren’t you supposed to cool their body temp down… remove clothes no blankets apply water to help cool them down?

Tyr Barghest • 1 year ago

Not necessarily. Fevers are the body's attempt to fight the sickness. Keeping a body warm during a fever aids the body in the fight. You only want to fight the fever if the body temperature gets too high and the fever itself becomes a threat to the sick person.

Ok now thats too much man-

Not Enough! so:

we can tolerate a fever up to 103' F... between 39/40C but Im too tired for precise math atm. beyond this temperature can cause damage to the brain, but below this it is best not to treat the fever, so that the body can purge itself

the body purges with fluids. this comes in 4 forms, Mucus (runny nose) vomit (puking) Bile (diarhea) and sweat.. the body creates these conditions to expel isolated viruses or clusters of bacteria.

viruses in particular can only be destroyed by cells ripping them apart or by expelling them from the body. bacterial and fungal infections we have more options.

the key to getting better the fastest is to rest and consume vast quantities of water, sipping slowly. adding some adidity to that water can help as well, like lemonade or orange juice, but these are mostly for diarhetics. it is a risk adding acids to vomiting symptoms, so a lighter acid like 7up/sprite is popular. Definitely NOT cocacola or the darker mtn dew/mellow yellow... (that stuffs a seriously strong acid)

the truth is, soda doesn't dehydrate you... research funded by a company that only pays for research results that favor them is... well, ill advised. like Gatorade. the carbonation isn't good for muscle fatique, but once flat, Mtn Dew and Cocacola are both quite healthy for you, as ready made energy. not as good as gingerale or rootbeer though(gingerales healthy even with carbonation, the good outweighs the bad, and flat rootbeer is effectively a medicinal tonic from way back when)
